Summary & Highlights

Hunting some of the world's biggest mule deer—the Sonoran Desert Mule Deer—famous for wide, dark racks and big, heavy forks. Bucks average over 180" B&C and giants in the 200-class are hunted each year.

These hunts are challenging, as mature bucks stay elusive except during the rut when they leave ravines and thick hillsides to cruise open desert looking for does. We hunt 100,000+ acres of private land using high-racks to gain elevation while patrolling roads and hiking into prime glassing points.

We maintain oranges/raisins "bait sites" and protein pellet feeders to support a healthy deer population—especially does—because where the does go, the bucks follow. Stations run year-round with extensive trail cameras to scout and target big trophies.

The rut typically starts mid-January and peaks late January through early February. Recently, most action has been the last week of January and first week of February—our prime time.

Big Coues deer share this habitat (often near water, hills, or mountains), so combining species is very possible. We also offer specialized Coues deer hunts.
