The Carmen Mountain Whitetail Deer of Coahuila are one of Mexico's most rugged and scenic whitetail hunts. These deer are medium to large-bodied with long, symmetrical antlers and heavy mass for the region. Mature bucks commonly score 110–120 B&C, with exceptional trophies exceeding the 130-class.
These deer inhabit the steep mountains, canyons, and rugged ridges of the Carmen Mountains, offering hunters a physically challenging hunt in spectacular terrain. The thick brush and rocky slopes require spot-and-stalk, high-vantage glassing, and carefully positioned blinds along travel corridors and water sources.
The rut occurs in late December through January, with peak activity in early January. During this time, bucks roam extensively in search of does, increasing the chances of encountering mature trophies.
This hunt provides the unique opportunity to harvest a few of Northern Mexico's most sought-after trophies, in one of the most rugged but beautiful environments, where iconic species like Mexican bison and black bear still roam wild and free, sharing the land with authentic Mexican cowboys and their cattle.
